Hello,

I bought an air conditioner 24000 btu Inverter. The indoor unit makes strange noises/sounds at night.

The pattern is as follows:
First, wind blowing and cooling are reduced to 80%. (Similar to fan mode)
After some minutes(About 3-4 minutes),
Then the sound (sound in the video) comes a few times and then everything returns to normal.
Wind blowing and cooling will be normal and will not be a problem.
No sound comes out of the outdoor unit.
Please watch the video.
thank you

Almost sounds like a chunk of ice falling somewhere. Wonder if there's some kind of defrost cycle that runs. What's the outside temp while it's running? It might be too cool to run it and it's freezing up.

Thank you, I attached the weather.
(Also, when I turn on the air conditioner, it emits a bad smell for the first 1-2 minutes. It does not smell bad after 2 minutes. (The AC is new))

Normally you can smell the ice after the compressor shuts off and the fan is still blowing.

It sort of sounds like a valve or duct opening or shutting. It sounds mechanical. My in window air conditioner's manually controlled exhaust open / closed lever sounds similar.

Thank you, Could you please how can I test the valve? The valve is an Electronic Expansion Valve.

I attached two photos.

I would check with the manufacturer if it's not something obvious that you can see is wrong, maybe this is normal operation and it's just doing some sort of routine.
