Sam Bankman-Fried, co-founder of FTX, who swindled billions from investors is found guilty. Max sentence could be 120 plus years in medium security prison.

How much jail time we can only guess. Sam will find out his fate in mid March, 2024. My guess is he will spend at least 50 years in jail.

Fifty years? For white collar crime? Certainly not in the USA (unfortunately).

Well, they let loose that psychopath PharmaBro Martin Shitelli after less than 7 years so this sentence is wayyyy too much. A guy who tried to take money vs. a guy who wanted to take lives by pricing drugs too high????

Honestly, it's not surprising, considering the magnitude of allegations against him. When you're dealing with billions of dollars, the consequences are bound to be severe.

Now that he's been sentenced to 25 years in jail, the next steps would likely involve his legal team exploring any chances for appeal. On this law firm's site, it's mentioned that appeals need to be filed quickly to make sure the case can be reviewed by a federal appellate court. Failing to invoke this right promptly could mean he forfeits the chance for such a review.

Considering the resources at his disposal, there's a chance he might be successful in appealing the verdict or at least securing a reduced sentence.
